Food for thought:
It's the heart of winter here in the NorthEast / New England
Anyone wishing to follow winter protocol may leave standing unit(s) running once done with use, this prevents freeze-ups, costly repairs.
Be sure to set handbrake(s), turnoff both Field Generator & Isolation switch.
Can be your call to leave any/all exterior lights on dim.
The norm is to leave lead unit Headlight on dim, the last trailing unit (if any) also lit dim (with or without having cars attached). all engs within ground-lights to remain lit.

lol... was lots of freeze-ups & dead batteries this morning coming into work FTRS, as many units were shutdown, lights left ablaze. Perhaps Smiley had been working on the PC case (cooling-project) shutdown server for a time. That can/will at times shutdown loco's upon restart.
Ayways I didn't bother restarting units ..lol… said F" it like the real, not my job, tomorrows another day.... ah! bring back fond memories of the real later in life...

Weather update. Portions of the area have 24" thus far. High winds will still be swirling about, Be ever vigilant for falling debris, &, snow covered tripping hazards. Good news, crews working Saturday, will have a boatload of sunshine, as the main event has slipped off to the NE, out to sea. Here's some of our FTRS Employees having their lunch in the drive during a lull in the storm, along with couple shots around home.
